INDUSTRIAL DESIGN - BFA Columbus College of Art and Design.
Began designing Interactive Science Exhibitions 83’, my 4th year studying Industrial Design downtown Columbus, Oh. Illustrated my first conceptual city scape in in 7th grade 73’. Born in the Ohio Valley outside Cincinnati 1961’. While attending Catholic grade school, I discovered a spirit connection to the indigenous tribes that had been flourishing in those valley’s forests where I grew up 1969’. Inherent respect for how the American Indians had Designed a life in the wilderness, seamlessly connected to the environment as late as 1880s’. Their fashion sense and sensitivity to the environment, (the early Industrial Designers) the idea of pollution as we know it hadn’t been discovered yet, nor claiming ownership of the environment as we passed through time. These interpretations, or inherited instincts, have gently guided my career path adventures which brings us into the now.
Currently managing a specialized design/construction company, Edgewater Exhibits in Miami, Florida. The team there is focused on designing and building sustainable Life Support Systems (LSS) for commercial and residential aquatic environments, ie. Public Zoos, Aquariums, City-Center water features and Aquatic Zen Gardens. . .
